The hydraulic butterfly valves are connected with short pipes at both sides. The bypass valve in the bypass system is electric operated gate valve. The electric operated gate valve should be opened first to reduce the pressure difference before open the butterfly valve. The hydraulic butterfly valve can be used to cut off the flow quickly when there is emergency urgent. The hydraulic butterfly valve can be also closed slowly to reduce the water hammer to protect the pipeline equipments like hydro turbine and pump. With electric control cabinet, the open and close operation of the butterfly valve can be achieved at control room. The hydraulic station supply the hydraulic power to the hydraulic actuator and operate the butterfly valves.
