YFL Side entry rising stem ball valve has unique design of spiral groove in the stem to lift the ball first before rotation to eliminate the abrasion between the ball sealing face and seat sealing face. Without friction between sealing face, the rising stem ball valve has durable sealing performance and long working life in the applications which has abrasive slurry contained solid particles.
YFL side entry rising stem ball valves operating principle:
1. When turn the handwheel to open the rising stem ball valve, the stem starts to rise and the unique spiral groove in the stem will lift the ball first to separate from the seat to eliminate friction between the the ball sealing face and the seat sealing face, and then the ball is rotated by 90 degree to fully open position when the stem rises to the top position.
2. When turn the handwheel to close the rising stem ball valve, the stem starts to move downward and rotate the ball by 90 degree to close position without contact with the seat so that there is no friction between ball andseat. And then keep on turning the handwheel, the spiral groove in the stem will drive the ball to move downward and approach to the seat tightly to realize reliable sealing with zero leakage.
