Our client in Philippines has a cooper refinery built near the sea. They pump the seawater to meet water demand during copper refinery. They need to replace the old butterfly valves during shutdown. We visited our client and went to the copper refinery to check the working conditions at site.

After communication with our client, we suggest to use butterfly valves with Al-bronze disc to be corrosion resistant against seawater. There are totally 5pcs of DN500 electric butterfly valves, 5pcs of DN600 manual butterfly valves with limit switchs, 1pc of DN800 gear operated butterfly valve  and 1pc of DN1200 electric butterfly valve.

The material specifications are the same  as follow:

Body: Ductile cast iron

Disc: Al-bronze C95800

Seat: EPDM

Stem: Duplex stainless steel F53

After valves finished, our client asked Lloyd's to do third party inspection before delivery.

All YFL Al-bronze butterfly valves passed the pressure test and functional test and were delivered to our client in time. The butterfly valves have been installed successfully during their shut down and have been working stably.
